I am local is a local marketing agency that enables locally owned businesses to be listed on a directory. The LOCALLY-CENTERED business directory highlights products and services in a specific area, connecting with prospective customers right in the core of the community. Embracing the opportunity to be part of the mission, the I am local directory spans over a 4 part division. The main division (I am Local – South Africa) that showcases the entirety of the project and the 3 areas – Riversdale, Pinetown, and Bluff – each with their own listings. Each area division has it’s own directory that is connected to a database that showcases the local business and a further detailed page that allows potential clients to achieve a better understanding on the specific offerings of this business. One of the very specific requirements on this project was allowing one listing to be filtered under 2 or more different categories. This posed the biggest challenge on this project. However, through multiple trials, errors and a ton of research, I have successfully managed to accomplish my goal and deliver an exceptional product to my client.
